Awake Is The New Sleep breaks new ground for Ben Lee. Reuniting him with producer Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins), the album was recorded in Wood's home studio in Los Angeles. It showcases Ben Lee's pop savvy as well as his matured musical sensibility. The songs, ranging from driven anthems to sensitive ballads, focus on the nuances that surround us all in our waking moments, and encourage us to follow our instincts.
