is a narrative song cycle concept album about an addicted boxer returning from
the Vietnam War, recorded live with a new band under the guidance of producer
Joe Henry. The songs on The Forgotten Arm are sharper than those on Lost in Space
and the performances are strong. There is a consistent sound to the album, and
the songs are effective as individual tracks and as part of the whole.
