Resolution is the BoDeans' first album of new stuff in eight years. It is also the BoDeans' Zoe Records debut. The band revisits its American Roots sound on this collection of nicely arranged toe-tapping numbers, peppered with a few slower tunes. There is a good variety of acoustic and electric sounds, and some strings thrown in in just the right spots. Resolution finds the BoDeans in good shape.
