Ben Harper, "Lifeline"

Ben Harper has released several albums encompassing a wide range of styles, and they are proof not only of his eclecticism, but also of his talents as songwriter, guitarist, and performer. So it comes as no surprise that his latest album entitled "Lifeline" is another knock out of the park. After a long tour, the band rehearsed, and recorded directly to analog tape (like without the aid of computers) and mixed it all in seven days. They ended up with a consistent, focused, and very laid-back record that is deeply soulful, and demonstrates some of Ben Harper's finest songwriting to date.
