Talk
about a music festival! SXSW 2005 was bigger than we ever imagined more
than 1300 artists (and there were 7000 more who applied!) inside 70 different
venues over four days.

mvyradio
was lucky enough to have up-close-and-personal
interviews with Jakob and Rami of The Wallflowers [website],
plus Melissa Ferrick [website],
Brandi Carlisle [website],
Charlie Sexton [website],
Kathleen Edwards [website],
Mary Gauthier [website],
Keren Ann, The Dukhs [website]
and more. Plus, we witnessed some great interviews from Elvis Costello
[website],
Brian Wilson [website],
and Robert Plant [website](who
told this hilarious story about donating to a public radio station in
Oregon if they promised never to play Stairway to Heaven [hmm,
Robert, we could use a little pizza money, too, come to think about it
].
There were all kinds of music blues, pop, metal, jazz, singer/songwriter,
r&b. Inside one night at a single venue, we saw Robert Randolph, Mavis
Staples, the Blind Boys of Alabama and Amos Lee [website].
On another night, Elvis Costello, Tift Merritt [website],
Mary Gauthier, and Glen Phillips (from Toad the Wet Sprocket)
all on one stage. Plus, amazing newcomers like Martha Wainwright, the
Jon Butler Trio, the Be Good Tanyas
Barbara Dacey captured some great moments
and one-on-one concerts that wed like to share with you. Just click on your
