Favorite childhood memory: roller-skating
in Central Park listening to "Golden Lady" by Stevie Wonder (remember
boom boxes?)and wading barefoot in the Boat Lake (yikes!)

for hire, NPR Announcer, Scientific study subject ($600 was a lot of money in
those days) Favorite Job: Hosting the Local Music Cafe. It gives me a chance to
shut-up and listen to amazing talent.

People I admire most:
President Jimmy Carter (I think he may be a saint in Politics and a hell of a
carpenter) and my daughters August and Wyndham (everyday they blow me away)

animal: Armadillo. Crazy little head, lots of armor soft in the middle and completely
indifferent to danger
Brush with greatness: Playing Buddy Guy's guitar with
his arms around me during a concert in Connecticut
Brushes with death: In
1970 my sisters and I fell into a sewer in Detroit; Last year I crashed my car
going 48 miles an hour around a curve to avoid a squirrel (not my favorite animal).
The first person on the scene was Joe Keenan (he pulled over). I told him that
if I'm actually still alive right now would he come on the Local Music cafe?

embarrassing moment: In 1970 my sisters and I fell into a sewer in Detroit

life long dream: To photograph parallel universes

Why Martha's Vineyard:
I'm a natural city girl and a Pisces and this is a great place to be a fish out
of water. Also The phrase " go on
in, it's never locked" is used
at least once a week here and I haven't seen a cockroach in years.
