  About The Minks

The Minks have graced Lake Muskoka in Ontario, Canada with superb summertime music since 2002. Our fourteen-piece band plays a rollicking mix of blues, rock, folk, and reggae. Many of our members have distinguished musical careers beyond The Minks. George Wyckoff is a record producer (Gibraltar Records) based in Boston, Massachusetts. James Armstrong plays with the John Hughes Band in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Scott Logan is the drummer for Toronto's Hatchetmen. Will Snyder played bass for one of the most popular dance bands in Venezuela. Megan Armstrong is lead singer for The Intones in Oakland, California. Phil Digby is an accomplished tenor sax player, currently gigging with The Elementals in the suburban Toronto music scene. And Mike deGruy is neighbors with Jack Johnson. Each summer these musical titans get together to jam for a month in a lakeside boathouse and to perform for some of the biggest private parties and events in the area. Throwing a party or festival during the months of July and August? Hire The Minks. And yes, we are available for sunset cruises.
